Understanding a Zestimate of your home's value on

A weekly format change is here.
You can think of it as early spring cleaning,
now that football season is over.

The area happenings and events section is lower in the email now....Speaking of that, due to the SNOW there will be a sledding hill highlight section for those trying to remember where are all the good sledding hills are for the kids and grandkids.

What a treat to see it come down last night, and my snowblower did start and run after all that dormancy this morning! I am grateful.  To me and snow at night especially turns every light to a glow is so calming, even though it is not fun to drive on or get out of my driveway.

One very different, but important item I wanted to mention.
When my wife and our three kids moved to the area in 1994, we lived in Chaska for several years and we would frequently go to to Cooper's Grocery Store in downtown Chaska. It was a great place to get full service (they bagged!) groceries.

Sadly, Cooper's 100+ year run is coming to close on March 2.

Since 1917 it had been a landmark through time, and a steady even comforting presence as Chaska grew from a stop on the river road to a suburban community of nearly 30,000 people.

You can read more about it the store and its histiry from the
Chaska Herald or clicking on either of these two fantastic
Cooper's photographic nostaglia.

When it is time.

Today, the real estate market is pulling from a lot of different directions. Homeowners need a steady experienced person to be a trusted advisor. A market current, pragmatic, and unhyped counsel on potential home investments (dealing with deferred maintenance and cosmetics) and what likely return for their time, effort, and money can be realistically anticipated.

I spend many hours over long periods of time in person, email, and on the phone providing value and confidence to homeowners.
Let me do that for you, it is at the core of what I call... Showing Up, Working Hard, Every Day. & Long before I ask for your commitment.

So invite me to your home. I will drink your coffee, tea, or tap water, and take a brief tour with you. Then, we will discuss your plans and I listen to you carefully as I know some agent's simply don't listen and only want to talk about themselves. No "presentation", just me with my legal pad and clipboard.

I will then leave, almost always before I am asked, and prepare a report for you to give you the counsel you are looking for so you can make the best decision possible when you are are ready to do so.

Common Thought: Is it  STILL a sellers market or has it FINALLY shifted to a buyers market?

YES is the short answer.
We currently have a limited supply of homes at a 1.7 Months supply for existing single family listings as of 2/15/24. NOTE: 1.7 Months is a week less than it was just a week ago.

The Minneapolis-St.Paul Metro has been in a seller's market since Nov 2014 when it hit 3.9 months of supply.
What is for sale near you?
